    Default Alloy cleaning (Bris)

    Hey guys,

I'm in the market to get some alloy cleaned, I'm sick of the hard work involved in doing it myself I don't care about it looking uber shiny or what not, but clean would be nice

Imagine an alloy cased gearbox that has been behind a car that has leaked out a whole sumpfull of oil and you might understand why I'm lacking motivation to do it myself!

So yeah I'm looking for recommendations of places in the Brisbane area that will be happy to hot tank / bead blast / clean some parts...

Hoping that it won't cost a fortune as I'm happy to leave it with them and they can put it through when it's easy for them...

I did trawl through the yellow pages and rang a couple of places, but just wondering if anyone has used anyone / can recommend anyone!

If people want to compare and contrast between the possible options that would also be of some help!

    >Bead blasting
    >Hot tanking
    >Hot high pressure spray

    Cheers
    Wilbo

kerosene worked wonders when i cleaned my motor before it went in.

got the kero on there (liberally), bit of a scrub with scotch brite, then a hard hit with high pressure, wasnt even the hot stuff.

    cleaned nearly everything.
