Sounds good, in your other thread that had the info about the rings and spacer you make you said something about using 180sx/s13 discs and calipers (twin spot)

im not sure if i read correctly but would this setup NOT increase the front track allowing the use of low offest wheels without any issues.

i would be VERY interested in info on adapting the SR20 front twin spots and discs onto the AE86 struts if thats what your talking about becasue its the same brakes alot of the AE86 guys are using with the complete s13 coilover conversions (with modified LCA's) and they say that they are more than enough braking capabilites if you use decent pads and would probably be lighter than the 4spot option also.

correct me if im retarted and reading what youve written completely the wrong way!

    cheers

what master cylinder would match the z32's?

i have heard that either cordia or starion master cylinders fit and are an easy way to 'upgrade' stopping power of the stock setup? which would be best?

I know theres a tech article on the Toymods homepage but its pretty useless seeing as ive never seen a GX60 Cressida in australia before and itd be easier to source something else!
have a look at the RA60 and RT coronas of the same era, youll find that they are quite similar to the GX60 struts in terms of how they will mount in the car, also the steering arms from these models can be interchanged to suit application. Vented rotors are easily adapted to this strut from the Celica/Supra

The Cordia and Starion MCs are hard to get, THe best bet is the 1" Skyline MC or the 17/16" Nissan Patrol MC

I agree takai, the skyline ones are pretty good, I used the 350Z master which is almost exactly the same as the early skylines, the only difference I found between them was one had a Tokico part number and the other was a Walbro? or Nissin from memory

Thanks for that Michael, but wouldnt this disrupt the steering geometry?

R32 Skyline NON ABS bolts stright into a sprinter, no lines to be modified, nothing. olts straight in and feels great! is 15/16th.

Cruzida, PM sent, extremely interested and will have 4 other cars to do also.

    Great work!

Chris (Takai) I think yer the corona struts would be great because of the bearings but most guys interested in this brake convo will have struts converted to coilovers or suspension already all modified to suit the sprinter struts/hubs. Perhaps working with the sprinter strut would be favourable to this...

Cheers for the help guys, hope it all works out soon!.

I was under the impression that S13 stuff was only single piston??
    You've read other things elsewhere?

If I do it rear mount then it won't increase track, but if its done on a floating disc setup then it will increase track 8mm per side.

Be careful when saying that the single pots are lighter than the 4 pots.
The 4 pots are alloy, and most single pots are cast iron.

CA18 versions are single piston, but i think SR20 versions are twin pistons.

    Here's mine for my AE-86.

RAV4 early front discs, Wilwood foru-spot cailpers, and milled backing plates.

The rears are a special DBA disc, yet to be fitted. I'll be keeping the stock rear calipers as I want to keep it simple and also keep the handbrake as-is.

CA18 and SR20 front calipers are both single pot sliding cast iron types. The main difference being the thickness of the rotor that they can accomodate. SR20 calipers are overall larger in size and take a 22mm thickness (i think) whereas the ca18 takes 18mm and the rotor diameter is smaller.

I reckon the sr20 front calipers with good slotted rotors and good pads would be a nice and cheap upgrade. Your not pulling up much weight after all and the pads/rotors will help resist fade.

Yep, they're mine. Forgot they were in there! They are the RX7 caliper brackets I'm using. It's Zoom issue 93.
