If it hasnt been crushed or fallen apart when removing then yes , spray it with hylomar first then torque it down again .

Hi, bit of a noob question. But want to know if a head gasket can be re-used? It is only a couple of weeks old but has been torqued down on the current motor. Motor had BHG, so was replaced but then did a bottom end bearing. So will be taking the head off and putting it on another block. So considered re-using head gasket and applying head gasket copper spray stuff. Thanks

Is it on a 7M? If yes, why would you risk it?

MHG yes, normal composite NO
A big fat NO. btw, i have a left over ACL monotorque headgasket if you want it. Came in the gasket kit, but i used a MHG. If you want it it's yours for whatever reasonable price you care to name.
Any gasket can be re-used, if it's OK. It cannot be reused if it is damaged in a critical spot or the surfaces have been changed.Originally Posted by MX83-maybe
