When they move it effectivly puts your timing out (if you redo it) because its might say 10 deg afte tdc but when its actually 7 after tdc (because the rings have moved in relation to each other.
that onyl affects you if you retime using the crap new marker..
the ignition timing os driven off the cam, which is driven by the cam belt, driven by the toothed sprocket, seperate to the crank pulley...

if it lets go, a bigger worry is that the alternator and water pump don7t spin so fast..... or.. more to the point, makes noises like a falcon and smells like burnouts

yes the ecu read off the crank angle sensor, but what do use to make sure the dizzy is on tdc, the crank pulley. So you might think its on 10d tdc, and the ecu assumes its on 10 d tdc, but it could actually be many degrees either way.

either way its not good, so a new stock one or an aftermarket alloy one is the go 4 sure.

additional fensport turn/manufacture/sell parts for a lot of performance models, blown 4ag included, www.fensport.co.uk. They are generous with their prices but their shit is pure quality.
