Top radiator hose for 1GGTE in GZ20 Soarer...

Mine has crapped out and currently ive got a cut down 202 (holden sh1tbox) bottom radiator hose fitted to the car...and its leaking slightly from at the ends becuase its got an ID thats about 3-4mm bigger...

I just got off the phone with Castle Hill Toyota and they have advised its a 21 day wait for one to get one from japan...ghey

can someone with an EPC check the similarity between a 1G-FE hose from an IS200 and the GZ20 Soarer/GA70 Supra hose...if they could it would be fantastic

any other ideas as to what sort of hose I could use that would work would be super duper...

What shape is it? Mine came from a Commodore one cut down.

looks like an L with a 36mm ID...

Check to see if a later model Commodore has a smaller ID hose. I *think* mine is a cutdown VS one, and was the right size for my thermostat outlet and MA61 radiator.

Hey mate, check the gates website. im pretty sure they have their catalog online which will have ID measurements and pics of the shapes (the paper catalog does)

Shouldnt be hard to find a top hose for that at all since its a basic shape that you can cut down if necessary.

Edit: if you walk into a repco or similar they should be able to match it up for you if you bring a sample.

Have you tried taking your original one into supercrap or auto barn or something, and seeing if they have one to suit?

I think ive done that with just about every hose ive had to replace

yeah I took it down smokey and this hose was the best one they could muster...

Hit your exhaust shop, and get them to bend a piece of stainless to suit. Lasts forever, and shiny too!

also a good option I suppose...then I could get them to braise a nut onto it for my temp guage sender

always ends up looking rough though...much rougher than the nice anodised black temp guage sender holder thingy I have...
