you might want to put a relay on the horn motor also, depending on the current draw...
but i like your switch idea![]()
Schematic for adding air horns while still having factory horns working.
based on the RA40 schematic
switch could go on the column shroud where a hole is already there for a switch.
if using the narva switch you will need to file out the hole a little bigger to make it fit.

One other thing worth noting is the colour codes for wires in haynes manuals may not match
your car. EG in the ra40 haynes maunual and toyota owners manual, the wire from
horn switch to ground is WB. In my Hatchback its GR.
trace the wire from your horn switch before any cutting!
cheers.
Edit: part number for that narva switch is 62011BL. 12V 20A

AU$TRALIA... come and stay and PAY and PAY!!! The moral high horse of the world!
Thanks..
One reason for the switch was different city's have different laws for air horns, by having
factory horns still working your not really breaking any laws (i think)
cheers
Edit: good point about the relay too ...
you don't really want to have to air horn your mum or girlfriend either
although the results can be amusing![]()
