    Quick Update:
I'll be heading back to the machine shop to finalise the quote after the christmas break. Guy was snowed under with work and didn't get to it.

I'll update when i have more news.

Interesting work here, *subscribes to thread*

If all goes well would you consider some for an AE82? Im not even sure if anyone else makes them lol.

Edit: "You must spread some rep before giving it to terra_operative again..."

    Yea, definatley.
The ones I have designed should fit AE92 thru AE111. All I need to design these is a donor strut top and spring seat from the front and rear and I can design a set.
I'll be making a design for the Mazda 323 BJ Protege'/Astina too once a mate gets his Autoexe coilovers in (So I gan get his strut tops).
I wouldn't mind making a set for the AE86 too. Would the AE82 tops fit the AE86??

ae82 twin cams are 4 stud tops and ae82 non twincam are 3 bolt tops..i´m not sure if the offset of the studs will be the same tho.

Ah yea, I remember seeing that somewhere (i've never owned one)
Are the AE86 the same with 3 and 4 bolts? The only main difference in manufacture will be the top plate (blue piece in my pictures) so it shouldn't be too difficult, just gotta get one of each type.
Are the rears the same for all models?

instead of making several top plates, would it be possible to supply the top plate blank?

Definitely. It is a little tricky to get the studs to work though, as they have to be countersunk to allow the light blue section to move. If I can reuse the bottom section, making a few variations on the dark blue section shouldn't add significantly to the cost.

Yep they will, you can bolt twincam tops into a non twincam ae82, the hole in the suspension tower is there anyway. So you may as well just make them all 4 bolt tops for the ae82. Sorry, cant help with the ae86 though

Cool, thanks for that. So the only difference is in the missing bolt in the strut top.

Well, I FINALLY got a quote back from the machine shop, and I was absolutely blown away.

For a batch of 20, CNC milled and water cut (no heat stress) from 5083 aluminium we will be looking at a total sale price to you guys of over $800 PER PAIR!!

Unless I can find somewhere substantially cheaper that's in Brisbane, I don't think I will be going ahead with this. I can't justify that cost just for the convenience of one extra adjustment.

    Any suggestions/ideas?

for camber only adjustment, i got some S13 silvia tops and cut and redrilled to suit my TE71. due to drifting, there is a heap of nissan stuff available quite cheaply, the trick would be to find camber/castor adjustable ones.

Nah, I don't want to sell a part that has been modified from a different car.
I'll just keep looking for a decent price.
