ahh they are different i think but you can adapt them have a spare here if need be both a gze one and a 20v one
I need to replace the AC compressor in my GZE equipped MR2.
Can anybody tell me if they use the same compressor as non supercharged engines and/or if they are the same as the compressors used in 4A Corolla's.

definitely different. Im not 100% clued up on the AW11 GZE... but the AE101 GZE has two belts running to it.
I've tried putting a 16V and a 20V compressor on the GZE, but they just dont line up with any of the belts, they are out of position by about 5mm.
I used to have an AE101 gze aircon compressor.... I think i still have it actually.
...... butt scratcher?!
I have an aircon compressor from an '87 AW11 SC. It was only removed due to front end damage to the car, and the fact that I don't really like airconditioning. Prior to that it worked fine.
Let me know if you're interested.
Cheers,

Thanks to James Cameron's Terminator films, we know that robots are stronger, faster, tougher and more Austrian than the rest of us.
if you cannot get your hands on a 4agze a/c compressor and you can a 2nd hand 4age one, just change the pulley and valveing unit on top over and away you go.
makes me laugh all these other owners removing all their a/c gear, it can get damn hot driving a aw11 in summer, and on a dry hot day having the windows down just doesnt help.
Yeah man, but the weight saving makes it handle like an F1 car and reduces quarter mile times by 0.0001 of a second.Originally Posted by feral4mr2

My excuse is my AC never worked anywayOriginally Posted by feral4mr2
With the W2A you're doing feral are you able to keep the AC?

i still retained the a/c in the feral's 4agte conversion with w2a i/c, though never got around to bolting the compressor back on and getting it gassed. a couple summers i went through i wish i wasnt soo lazy and did it!!!
and yes the a/c is all still bolted in place (comp as well) on the lil feral's TC that i'll be putting the w2a i/c onto. just need to get it gassed.
