Just remember whenever doing an intank pump upgrade that EFI fuel hose IS NOT suitable for use inside a fuel tank. !
You need a dedicated fuel line fo rthe application or it will seperate and swell.

...... butt scratcher?!
whats a suitable pipe to use for installing an intank FP? (if efi fuel hose is a nono). Or is a dedicated metal fuel pipe the only recomended solution?
crap i didn't relize this and i just ordered a walbro 255.
No the Sprinter tank still had a rubber Hose it was just not of the EFI flavour.
With luck you should already have a suitable bit of pipe connected to your old pump that may help.

phew! hehe, i'm a newbie when it comes to changing FP's never had to change one until now.
Thanx again lamolica.
Here's a pic of my intank setup. Mine wasn't held down by anything in the factory setup besides the hose at the top and the locator at the bottom. And I installed the walbro exactly as the factory was. When the locator is in properly it would have taken a real good yank to get it out. I also has to pull my factory wires off, but I just soldered the new ones in there place.
