ok so after checking the price of replacemnt leads for my 3tgt and almost falling over, i stated looking for alternivtives.
I stumbled apon a set of leads for a 302 ford windsor v8. (thanks to my dad for that one)
champion CH80006W(might be CH30006W,says ford winsor 302 on the box anyway) the lengths of the leads work out almost perfect.
becouse its duel coil you also need another coil lead so grab one of those while your at it.
BUT they dont have the dust boot on the end - i hear you say
thats an easy fix with a craft knife
Carfuly cut the rubber boot on the under side and remove from the old lead. your old leads are 20 years old now and most likely near dead anyway
slide the rubber boot over the new lead
install new leads- just press lead on to sparkplug and push boot in to place
Ive been running them like this for a few monthes now without a problem
and there you have it brand new 8mm leads for about $70
im sure the same idea could be used on a lot more engines aswell
