so here is the story:
Two fridays ago, due to some dodgey wiring by someone else my stock ECU on the 1J went kapow...putting charry black bits all inside it, after perilessly trying to find a suitable replacement for under $200 before my PowerFC arrives I found nothing...then chris davey was kind enough to point me in the direction of a $650 LTX-12 already setup and tuned for 1J!!!!
friday night i purchased said LTX-12 and sunday we got a wiring away on the sucker, I also whacked in a set of 2JZGTE 440's as well
now...I used this information from the old forums as we didnt have a "complete" wiring diagram for the JZA70 1J that resides in my car for the leb.

With four plugs and the loose plug the 1JZ diagram that you need is the JZA70 version. It is available online at:

The signals that you need are:
5 Volt VTA2 Plug V Pin 7 Colour BR
TPS Input VTA1 Plug W Pin 10 Colour W-B
Air Temp THA Plug W Pin 3 Colour LG
Oxygen Sensor OX Plug W pin 5 Colour W
Igniter Connections - Even though there are six wire from the igniter the 1JZ uses a wasted spark system in that if fires two cyclinders at a time. If you check at the coil end of the wiring there are actually three pairs of signals. We made a new harness seperate from the 1JZ harness so that we could have sequential fire (one cyclinder at a time).
Wiring for the igniter is as follows:
LTX 1JZ
#1 Yellow to Green
#2 Yellow / Black to Yellow-White
#3 Yellow / Red to White
#4 Orange to White-Brown
#5 Orange / Black to White-Green
#6 Orange / Red to White-Red
Crank Sensor was oposite from LTX wiring diagram in that Red and Yellow were opposite way round. Similar to the Cam Sensor with the Green and Blue opposite way around.
Connections for these are:
LTX 1JZ
Crank Sensor
Red NE Plug U Pin 12 Colour
Yellow NE- Plug U Pin 6 Colour
Cam Sensor
Green G1 Plug U Pin 11 Colour O
Blue G1- plug U Pin 5 Colour W
Other connections are for power and fuel system and will depend on how you have wired your 1JZ.
Check out the above with the colours and wiring diagram to see that they match your car.
More importantly the wiring for the coilpacks...we couldnt find specifically the green, the yellow/white, white, etc, etc so we chopped the coilpack plugs from my old 1JZ loom, which I have totally removed from the car and assigned them to the wires on the microtech, I was assuming from grahams information that the wiring for the coilpack on cylinder #1 on the microtech is yellow, so this was wired into one of the coilpack plugs and then plugged that into the coilpack on cylinder number one...were we correct to assume this and do it like that?
Next question, on the crank angle sensor we used the red and black wires from the microleb and wired them into my CAS...was that the correct two to use?
as it stands I currently have no spark and am curious as too what might be causing it?? any help is greatly appreciated!

Have you got a Microtech manual? If not surely you can find one on the net or get a dealer to send you one.
With the manual, everything should become clear. If you are unsure which wire on your crank/cam angle sensor does what you can test it with a CRO (borrow one or "borrow" one). Just take it off the engine and spin it with a battery drill and probe all the wires.
Sorry not to be any practical assistance, as I have zero experience with JZs or Microtech.
i cannot help you here, but i hope your not thinking about replacing the ltx 12 with a power FC!!!!! the microtech is a much better computer.

We have managed to sort 99% of it out, im just double checking if the wiring to the coilpacks was done correctly and which two out of the 4 that are for the CAS we are meant too use, becuase if those are done right my CAS might be fuxored?
and im not getting the power FC anymore...this leb was half the price and is ultimately a much better computer even if there is a little more fucking around
Also the 440's are the same impedance as my old 370cc stock items yes?

I also noticed when re-reading the quote from the old forums it says something about a cam sensor and O2 sensor...
the only sensors I have connected are the TPS, Air Temp sensor, CAS and Water Temp sensor...my car doesnt even have an oxygen sensor...are both the cam sensors and oxygen sensors required to be hooked up to make the leb run?

i dont run o2 sensor. it wont matter.
call microtech about the cam sensor, i rememeber there was a problem with mine originally.

Nope, it does nothing with the O2 sensor bar a readout. You will need the cam sensors if i'm not mistaken for it to run sequential.

Im actually understanding now...
the extra two wires on the CAS for the leb loom have to go too the cam sensors!
it says the front one...so im assuming you only need to use one of them?
it shouldnt really need to use both...should it?
That would be why there is no spark right?
becuase the cam sensors arent hooked up?

It needs to be hooked to cam sensor and crank sensor. You only have one don't you?
