two cam sensors on the 1Jizzle mate...one at the front and one at the back (yeah I thought it was odd when we removed the head as well), im assuming that its the front one seeing the wiring diagram from microtech says FRONT![]()

I can't be assed digesting all of that, so I'll type anyway.
To get spark you will need both the crank angle sensor and one of the cam angle sensors.
You will also need the ignitor wired up correctly.
After that, you should have spark.
None of the other sensors are needed to get it running, but it will run like ass without them.
o2 is for viewing purposes only.
Plug the lappie in, turn it on, and crank the motor, you should see about 400rpm cranking speed. If you don't check to make sure you have both a crank angle sensor, and cam angle sensor.

ive got all of the sensors already hooked up...the water temp sensor is off a VN commodore (god i feel dirty) the air temp sensor is stock 1J, i am hoping it will read the correct impedance? Shane is that what you are running?
No laptop either as the dongle and software are made of unobtanium at this stage, but ive managed to find someone kind enough to lend me thier 2 line hand controller which should suffice for a little bit for now...
ive since figured out this morning via the help of some kind fellows that I dont have the cam sensor hooked up, as soon as I finish work im off to do that and fix up the ignitor wiring as coilpack 4 and 6 need to be swapped around, then it should be all good to fire her up and muck with the current tune a little...
Cruz do you know if the 2JZGTE 440's are a direct drop in on the 1J? I have already established they fit and the plugs are the same becuase that is done...but is there an issue with impedance or are they all good in that respect?

Microtech can run up to 2 2ohm injectors per channel.
So one 2ohm injector per channel (presuming they are low impedance) is no issue.

440s are high impedance like the 370-80's
ALso, don't forget to compensate for the larger injectors in the fuel map. I am pissed that you can buy this thing and have it wired in like 2 days and I still don't have my car doing ignition![]()

we are gonna lean off the tune a little as it was already a very rich (read: safe) tune and with the 440's it will be even "safer", probably so safe it wont idle, I wont be driving it much on this tune as im getting sick of 7 psi...I rang the tuner this arvo and he reckons if the cold start is ok then he can have it tuned in half a day for me and have it making around 300rwkw

Mr 1J: I'm pretty sure it's the front cam - I'll check for you when I get home (4pm). also note that I had 2 ltx-12 1jz wiring diagrams, and they BOTH had the cas/cam sensor wiring wrong. I can't remember what the correct wiring is, but I just ended up using trial and error till it started co-operating with me
if you get stuck I'll check the wiring colours for you (but I'd really prefer not to, being under heat shrink and all)
