There's stacks of them on eBay, that's where I got mine. Toyota uses the same filter size as Ford which makes it easy.

speco does one with two 1/8 bsp ports on it
GA23(never finished-now with cracked block) JZX83 (Tyre eater) 3sgte AE86. by now i should know better.
You can get one ordered in though Superheap or Autobarn. They're about $60 iirc.
As mentioned previously, I used a generic Ford Z9 adapter plate on the Celica and the Soarer.
JZA70|R / 12.45 @ 111 mph.
I think I still have my original one her somewhere that I didn't use..
( I went with a full relocation kit)
get a speco one, you can buy them from auto1/rarespares and only cost about $30 , alot cheaper then ebay/online performance sites
Another option is to drill and tap the oil filter union bolt to accept the temperature probe. From memory there's a howto guide on mkiv.com.

Drilling and tapping into the sump plug wouldn't be a bad option either if your engine used one of those chunky sump plugs... hmm... i think i'll have a look at mine next time it's out.
Edit: I think the thread for the oil filter is 3/4"-16UNF... don't quote me on that though.
