    yeah should have mentioned, retarded timing will cause overheating even if your cooling system is perfect, might be as above with the dizzy problem

    I had the car dyno tuned by the son of Frank Kleinig just over a month ago, he did a great job. The car has been running at it's best since Frank tuned it about 2 years ago before the 18rg was rebuilt. He put a new cap on the dizzy, pretty sure he would have checked the points, weights n stuff while he was at it.

    It was on and off the road a lot before I got it tuned, and coolant drained when the carbys were off (cuz of those stuuuuupid coolant ports in the head that i have trouble sealing with the lousy manifold gasket >=[ grrrrrrrrrr) so I reckon the radiator got a little rusty then. That's what I'm hoping anyway.
