    Question Help needed please

Hi guys im new to this. But here goes. Im trying to put a stock RWD 4AGE engine and a T50 gearbox into my 1978 KE30 Corolla.

Just a few questions, what sorta pressure in the fuel delivery line? Which fuel pump (in or out of tank, what model)? Which clutch pedal box will fit straight in for hydrolic clutch?

I have also been told to do a brake upgrade by an engineer. What do you guys recommend?

Also I still need some parts including a wiring loom. If any of you nice ppl out there is willing to share contacts who supply parts I would be most appreciative

Thats it for now. I will probably have more questions in the future as Im just starting with this modification. I'll try and post some pics of the convertion on here as progress continues.

Fuel line - I think in the region of 40-50psi (300-350kPa). You MUST use EFI fuel hose from the high pressure pump to the fuel pressure regulator (basically all the high pressure parts. You can use carby fuel hose for the return part.

Camira, VL and VL turbo pumps are supposed to be identical, are common and will supply plenty for a 4AGE. They are external, however I am not sure about any in tank options. I doubt anything will be a straight fit in a KE30.

A brake upgrade is a very good idea. Quality pads (if available) and fluid may tide you over in the meantime, though you should upgrade them.

A loom may turn up second hand, but I'd recommend going to a self serve wrecker and grabbing all the plugs you need, then getting a wiring diagram and manufacturing your own loom.

I am doing the same thing.
Check out the link in my sig.

For the clutch, get a clutch master and slave cylinder from an AE71 corolla. You could use a TA22 celica one as well but the AE71 will have the correct slave for the A series T50 (Aus spec that is ).
The clutch master mounts to the firewall with the two existing bolts to the left of the brake booster.

Then you do this to your pedal box to make it work.

The pushrod for the clutch master bolts through the hole you drill in the pedal arm. BTW I got this pedal box out of a KE55 and it had already been modified, so don't blame me if it looks rough .

I am using RA40 celica struts for my brake upgrade. I haven't run them past an engineer yet but I don't think there will be a problem with them.

If I think of anything else I'll post it up.
