Default I need some turbo advice

In the middle of building a 1.5J, and thought that I may as well do the turbos at the same time to save the hassle of when the ct12a's invariably shit themselves in a few months time.

Just curious as to what peoples ideas are on this? I was looking at a set of HKS T3G's, but the deal fell through, so am left with the option of going with a single conversion (what size should I be looking at?!?) or re-building and high flowing the stockies. Other option would be the newly re-built and high flowed ct26 off a mates car that was recently written off?

I am not chasing huge power figures (only reason for the 1.5J was the the 2J block was cheaper, and in better condition than all other 1Js at the time) 230-250 is the most that I'd consider running, and I don't want much in the way of lag either.

    Cheers,
    me

    250 whats exactly?

For moderate power and quick spool you'd want one of the larger GT30's or smaller GT35's (my preference). Forget about ancient technology like a CT26, a modern ball-bearing turbo is miles ahead.

    Nah, 250bar lol

Early to mid 200's (as in rwkw) is what I am chasing. Seeing steel wheeled stockies can pump that out on a 1J, I was sort of hoping that high flowed varieties would be happy on the 1.5J as I would really prefer to keep things looking stock(ish) coz I know that if I start making things look to pretty, I'll follow suit by whipping out the high temp resins and making me some carbon fibre manifolds and cam covers, then probably a bonnet and some fenders. Where does it end (bankruptcy)?!? Cripes, I'm already in the design stages of a flat alloy under body
