but with this rep thing its going to piss ots of people off I feel because the moment you write something that people dont really agree on then they will neg rep you.. which if you are like us who dont have over 30 rep then you cant have avatar and you cant buy or sell..

The guy was bagged because he failed to substantiate his statements and was obviously trying to make a quid out of gullible people.

IMHO, using the original calipers on a larger diameter disc means that more energy must be dissipated through the pad and caliper over a shorter period for substantially greater breaking efficiency.
The small area of AE86 pads means that you may well easily cook the pads.
A 12 mm disc will not be an effective heat sink initially nor will be able to dissipate heat effectively in this scenario.

A braking system should be considered as a balanced setup, you can't just change one element and assume to achieve a greater benefit without considering the other elements of the design and the balance required.

the area of the ae86 caliper is actually bigger then the area for the 4 pot FC3 calipers. i wouldn't call them that "small".

we got the vented discs here in the US not the soild ones. so for me it might be wroth looking into. anyone know the size of the AE86 stub, bearings, discs, etc.. or have a link with realiable info?

I'm starting to think i need to swap over my agx's and coilover setup to a *A60 strut and go from there..
