Whiteline make one?? But yeah, i agree, best option it to make one, or get a mate to make one, cheap, simple, 'custom' fit.
I will be making one soon (mine's a hatch) and incorporating harness mounts.

Ok, i should've worded that better - i will be getting someone to make me one. The issue for making one for you is that you need to fit them to each particular car, or make them adjustable. ie You build it onto the car. It can be done though, i'll keep you posted when i get around to it.
How much are the whiteline ones out of interest?

Slightly off topic but what suspension have you got in it at the moment? ie springs, shocks, bushes, swaybars...

You should probably get some bigger/stiffer swaybars. Imo they will do more for handling than a rear strut brace.

I plan to make one after exams for testing, if all goes well I can make them up for others.

Sway bars and some alignment goodies will do more than any strut brace ever could.
I would get a Rear Sway bar first, and then if you want better handling after that look at getting some front camber happening, this will do more than a Strut bar.
Definitely do that! I put an adjustable swaybar in the rear of my ae82 (set to medium) and it was kicking the arse out of tight fast corners. Now with a front swaybar, it's perfectOriginally Posted by LeeRoy

I have been pruned by old man river!!!!!
Tis true, you'll gain much more from having an upgraded rear swaybar.

Great advice on the swaybars, it's exactly what i was coming here to say, but do both!! Don't just get the rear, why un(or over?)balance the car, get the set as they're designed to match. And definately get adjustables; they're quite possibly the best mod i've done to my car, and play around a bit with different settings so you understand and can feel the difference they make.
And value for money they kick arse too, ~$400-450 for the pair i think? You won't be disappointed.![]()

I'm not saying don't get both, but you will not unbalance the car just by getting the rear, its common knowledge that FWD cars and especially the AE9* corolla suffer heavily from understeer, the best way to combat this is by upgrading the rear sway bar, but by all means get both, i just wanted to clarify that upgrading the rear only will not unbalance the car.
Sway bars should be the first thing people think off when upgrading suspension, unfortunately most think LOW Springs, you can make an AE9* Corolla handle better than most cars on the road without going lower at all.
