The problem is that it can take a lot of posts to complete a good tech article.
All of the images I had were thumbnail links & it became very frustrating trying to repost the thread in the new forum (hence why its not finished)

Alot of forums follow the process where you throw a partially finished tech article with some snaps... ppl contribute and then eventually you grab all the extra info, add it to a word doc/pdf/html file and post that up... keeps it clean and allows all members to contriblute.

Yep thats pretty much what I was thinking Ivan... keep posting threads as usual so that other people can contribute and then if at some point we decide its something that should be preserved we can turn the whole thread into a pdf and put it on the main site.

PS wagonist... if you want to email me the tech article I can PDF it for you.

I personally like the idea of adding pics to the tech threads, but I also think that imageshack and others like it are the best option for hosting pics rather than the toymods server adding to the workload.

Funnily enough, I usually can't see amny of the pics at work, as imageshack and photobucket are banned, so I have to ususlly look at them at home

Maybe a guide to help the slow 56k'ers, is to limit the size of the pics that can be hosted on the site ? Can that be done ?

    Cheers
