    How is it different?

I can't see how they wouldn't be interchangeable as they both bolt to the same thing, are designed for the same engine, and work in the same way (ie. push the clutch fork towards the rear of the car)...

Does the Clutch line connect in a different way?

The RA2x item has an adjuster and the shaft goes through the clutch fork.

The RA40 item has no adjuster, but a mushroom head. The clutch fork does not have a hole in it, so the RA2x item will not fit. RA40 item may not have a long enough (or short enough) plunger to suit the RA2x clutch fork, but I have not tested this... as I have not had a need.

Clutch lines connect the same. I too would have thought them to be interchangeable, but found out when purchasing new slave cyls over the years that they are different.

I wonder why they changed the Clutch Fork and Slave?

Surely the adjustable version is better? I know I've had to adjust mine before...
