Pub Night - 26th October @ Earl of Leicester

Im definately going to have to put my hand up for the Oxford if the plans aren't set. It's central (O'Connel street) and an awesome chill out pub, gets decent people rollin through too. Unfortunately i would not be up for a cruise as my car would drag down the group look of class and style (shiat paint! Money spent on building engine. . . engine broke. Left with nearly stock box till engine fixed) however Im up for it wherever it is providing it don't clash with work or sport I'll keep an eye on the thread

ive been the oxford, i didnt know they did meals. but i went there closer to midnight probbaly when they aint serving meals?

isnt it more nightclubby than pubby.

nah mate its good wed, fri and sat it kinda turns club style but mon, thur normal pub (thur cheap drinks) tue live band they do sell food before nine thirty really nice food actually oh cheers for the rep too mate

Coopers ale house is ok, but not brilliant.

Oxford sounds good...

Earl of Leister would be good also, but they have a serious lack of room around the front bar, and the dining area out the back (not the restaurant) is pretty dodgy.

Well we started at the Tap Inn, so thats out, and then the Coopers because of the schnitties, maybe the Oxford or the Lion?

Ive been going to the ox every week for the last 3 yrs (sponsors our college in north adelaide). it was good before it changed ownership. The lion is priced about the same and the food and beer is much much better. Also the kinda ppl it attracts are far better quality.

The ultimate would be the archer but its more pricey!

I reckon I'd be down for a pub night, sounds to be more of a meet and greet right? cos the oxford/lion lack a decent car park to chill and talk about our cars. the 22 won't be ready till another month away but the runabout ke70 could make it.

Earl of Leicester sounds good to me, read a review in Rip it Up mag. that it had the best schnitties in adelaide.. yet to try it though.

yeah ive got like 300+ rep in the last week or so. its insane, all ive done is post my normal crap....flaming noobs and posting jokes and what not you will be most impressed with my two tone 22 when u see it :-P

yeah, i thought we could maybe change that where before hand, if people wanted to, meet up somewhere near the pub, and then cruise to it??

oooh and the earl has pretty good parking facilities.

should we start a list of people going so when we have settled on a place, we can book it and give them a number.

oh and if the earl aint awesome already, they have 84 different beers to choose from

The Earl has pretty poor parking facilities in comparison to other pubs like the Tap Inn or Boho.
Anyway, what I have done in the past is the following

1. Select a date
2. Set a cutoff date
3. People leave their name
4. When cutoff date is reached, book for that number of people
5. ????
6. Profit

People after the cutoff date have to figure out their own arrangements.
