the N14 GTiR example has a plain bearing (I know I've got one) along with a 0.86 T2 rear housing, a little more laggy on the CA (to be truthful) but nicer above 7000.

Even the T25G off the S13 wouldn't be a bad option for a 4AGE, but $ for $ a good S14 T28 is hard to beat for what you're after.

    P.S: the T28 uses a Garrett T3 60trim front wheel.
I ran a GTiR Turbo and modified the .64 housing to take the bigger GTiR wheel,
and kept most of the response for a good result in power in the higher RPM ranges.
    was 200Kw atw with that.

Dude, the GTiR wheels are the same as all the T28's, it's just the exhaust housing is larger. We've measured.

Remember that the S13 came with the T25G not a T28 which had smaller wheels.

From what I know the turbo I had was a NON-bb off an S15 blacktop?

Anyway, here is the wheel that was on it with the .86 housing you can see the difference in the picture,

I used the wheel meant to be in that housing, with the .64 housing I that was on it.

Why not buy a reputable brand and save yourself trouble and money in the long run?

I don't see the point in skimping on quality when it comes to turbos.

Rebuilt turbos are definitely an option for you so don't discount them. Just make sure you get them from a reputable turbo rebuilder.
