cressida MX83 problem need help

hi my mx83 cressida has gone through three dizzys so far one was like brand knew they keep on leaking oil the last one which was like new squirted oil, can someone pls tell me wats the reason for this.
Are some lines in the engine blocked etc etc
Rocket covers were also acid dipped and cleaned before the last was dizzy was put in and that too leaked oil badly
so today i replaced it with another gud one can somebody shine some light one this issue
also this engine has had the head gasket etc done last year tooo
can this be due to excess pressure build in the engine.
Oh yeah it had oil between the two rocket covers etc but i reckon this maybe the seals BUT i cleaned it and tightened the rocket cover and drove it for a week and dats when the dizzy went leaking a heap of oil every where i stopped but there was no oil between the rocket covers were the spark plugs are what can cause this and MORE IMPORTANTLY HOW CAN THIS BE FIXED
does anyone have any ideas as to why this happens

Dizzy leaks cos the seals for the main shaft wear a groove into it so the oil can sneak past and dribble out the bottom.
You will need to get either a brand spanking new one ~$400, or get the old one reconditioned. Cost me about $200.

The same will happen with most of the dizzy you will get just because of the age of the rubber.

The last dizzy that was installed was literally like new it only lasted id say like 4months and started dripping oil

what condition was the internal oil seal shaft in? They can look brand new on the outside but still have a brittle leaking oil seal on the shaft internally.

You can use a fluroelastomer oil seal which has higher temp and chemical resistance than the standard oil seals if you had a new seal in the last one and it only lasted 4 months.

You cant see the internal seal without pressing apart the the dizzy.
Its a really silly design

guys can it be due to a build up of pressure/compression in engine causing dizzys to break there seal cause it occured after i tightened the rocket covers due to oil being in the spark park well and theres no oil in the spark plug well now just the dizzy leaking oil like hell every where i park, im just worried its gonna happen to my second hand new dizzy lol
i hate the 7mge such a crap engine

im not sure wat the internal seal was like but i im gussing its busted now but if the one in there goes again i will do somethin like wat u meantioned JP with the the seal
i didnt have new seals in it, its just the dizzy looked like brand new

So you bought new caps or a complete new distributor. ie not bought one from a wrecker, new meaning bought one from toyota.

hi,
when we reomoved it yesterday it had sprayed oil on the inside of the dizzy cover and it was leaking drop after drop of oil everywhere i parked when i looked it was leaking from below the dizzy, the under part of the dizzy, the new second hand one is in atm we'll see how long dat one last.

thanks for the link leeroy but man arnt the mx83 dizzys a sealed unit where as the 4age ones can be a pulled apart correct me if im wrong

you should still be able to dissasemble the 7M unit to replace the internal seal with a press.

If you have good seals and it's blowing oil out I'd check/clean your PCV system.

As said, service the PCV system, and pull the dizzy apart, it's fairly simple to do. Also see if you've got any other oil leaks, e.g. cam seals, rear seal, etc.
