right, i'm not planning on cutting the chassis rails and will have heaps of room for what i want without going that far.
i'm planning on moving the spring perch, the shock mount and the lower arms of the 4 link inside of the chassis rail instead of outside. i know i'll need some bracing, probably go across the car so its all between the chassis rails instead of between the sill and the chassis rail like it is currently.
i did a search on minitubs and couldn't find anything that helped.
mainly what i want to know is:
how much is this going to mess with my handling??? having all this stuff so much further inside of where it was designed to sit. i'll need to shorten the panhard bar as well, how much difference will this make???
also with cutting the tubs out am i going to need to brace anything while they're out. i know its a unibody and pretty much everything is structural but i can't imagine anything folding out of shape considering the chassis rails will still be there along with most of the rest of the body. anybody know different??? informed opinions preferred on this one.
and also i'd like some pics, the only car i can think of with something like this is rotatr but if anybody else has done something similar i'd love some pics detailing what you've done and where exactly you've put everything.
cheers
Matt
