How to get negitive rep removed?

How do I get it removed?

Hi,

You post the incident to a moderator - preferably the moderator of the forum in question. I suppose you should also cut & paste in the original post, with your reply and also the -ve rep and it's comment (assuming it has a comment). Then you wait and see.

i lost 2 rep points in under an hour thanks to ***** and ******* in my stopflash thread in the "off-topic discussion" forum , i didnt say anything rude or offensive towards them , i was just discussing the reasons behind speed camera revinue..

but ive decided im never going to make it to 30+ rep here at toymods because of the dickheads that have managed to still apply for the forums and get in ..

so insted of whinging im going to become a member and support toymods on my next paycheck as ive been here for more than a year and gained a lot of knowledge ... plus i would like my avatar and respect privlages.

i think the admins should change it so ANYONE can view at least the REASONS behind negative rep just so you know who the dickheads are and when not to say something that may make them need a tissue and press the -ve rep button ...

Rivers Rule - I don't put in -ve reps in the Non Car Discussion area. It 's usually full of stupid shit anyway and often peoples thoughts and ideas. Although you may not like their thought process, I find it hard to -ve rep them for it.

However, I will -ve rep on the techncial forums if the information is incorrect or some one is being a fool.

You used the fact that you can see who gave the rep to you to go and give them negative rep. This is the reason why new joiners can't see who left rep, but it's assumed that once a person has got to the stage of seeing who left the comments they'll have the maturity not to do this. Now you want the negative rep he gave you removed?

Having looked through the rep you have given out I tend to think that you need to clean up your own behaviour before complaining about what others are up to.

I'm not saying he was right or that you were, but he thought you were giving misleading info and gave negative rep because of it.

I can't believe the amount of people that feel the need to bitch about rep. Seriously not everyone likes you and not everyone is going to agree with you. Not specifically Cool1 but anyone.

I didn't say you were in the wrong. I did imply that it was immature though.

Yes I am surprised by the amount of people that feel the need to bitch about rep. I guess I just assumed people had enough self respect not to feel that their rep is that important a part of who they are. Apparently this is far from the case for some people.

I stand by my opinion that you need to look at the rep you give out and start being responsable if you expect others to be. If someone had to go through all of the rep that has been given and weed out what shouldn't be there how many of the following rep votes would have gone through?

With the post in question - i'd recommend just clarifying yourself somewhat better. With a comment like "buy a new one" (not sure of wording exactly, too lazy to find the thread again) with no reference to where or how, you can expect people to take your post as being blunt and uninformed.

Obviously if he knew where to buy a new one, he would have explored this option, so simply just expand a bit, and we'll all live in peace and harmony, and fairies will dance in the sky, and rose petal blooms will flutter through the breeze, and and and,...

Reputation should not be taken this seriously. its 1 rep point. instead of complaining here, go find a thread and give useful info and get it back. Its a car forum for gods sake. I love toymods and i enjoy it when i get some +ve rep but its not that big a deal. so stop your complaining and go help someone. :-)

p.s. those reputation reasons given above are ridiculous. people should be given warnings if they give "reasons" like that. 3 warnings and you can't give -ve or +ve rep for a month.

Nothing is wrong with it. It's the only one in the list that looks legitimately about forum contribution though. I haven't made and effort to grab only bad comments or anything along those lines, I just started at one point and copied all of the comments below that point.

I would love to know the context inwhich these were given, If any of these have any relevance to the thread i would be most surprised.

I would like to point out that there are at least 2 in that list that I didnt give! Probably the boaring ones.
I would also like to say that I dont think it matters what I write in the comment field as long as the person i'm giving it to knows what the feed back is for.
So to anyone that else that sees my comments and is offended, I dont care! If your not the receiver it has nothing to do with you.
