Ok got a heads up from a fellow toymodder today that a bunch of bikers got booked up round nebo today. Dont let this be a dampener guys, but just want to reiterate that everyone should take care driving up there, there is potential danger when driving around any mountains. I am sure we can all be sensible adults and not do anything silly, but still have some fun! Dont want anyone getting booked and potentially ruining the day, and I am sure the cops wont be pulling anyone over if they are being sensible

    Hi everyone,

Unfortunately I doubt I'll be able to make the cruise this Sunday. You can't rush a rebuild. Hope to organise something for those who are keen when I get it back.

    Thanks,
    Ren.

Dana: a mate of mine went past the mob of unhappy bike riders not long after they were pulled up. They (the police) had gone for a large bunch as up the road there were hundreds of bikes parked at the cafe. Too many weekend-only 2-wheel warriors are killing themselves on Mt Nebo and the local plod are sick of filling up body bags.

a suggestion: spread out - if you go up as a close-knit bunch, they'll pull you all over... spread out and you should be a lot safer. They can also hear you before you see them, so concentrating your noise in one location isn't a wise idea.

If you went up Mt Glorious via the back route (Wivenhoe) then you'd probably miss the police welcoming party, but going that way will show you who's got a good cooling system and who's going home to repair a BHG.

edit: i've always been going up to Noosa for the hillclimbs so i'll just have to wish you all good luck and a great drive.

Thanks for the good advice Charles. Guys I think he's onto it, we should spread out a little and not be too noisy, especially you sneezing turbos! Might be hard for some Anyways I can understand their trying to stop bikie deaths, from what I have seen from bikers up that way some arent the most sensible.

But anyway we are out to have fun, just remember to be safe guys, nothing is worth risking your life or others over.

Hopefully the cops will just see we are a bunch of classic cars going for a nice drive.

I'm hoping to stop by before you all set off. Unfortunately I have other commitments that day.

    Cheers,
    Simon
