You can purchase them directly from toyota. Has he tried that?? They are very good coils, so much so I noticed the titan car that wedlock now owns even has stock coils. And its mad 1700hpSo I wouldn't bother looking for aftermarket items.

Yep, factory coils are the go, all big power setups use them just with upgraded ignitors.
Note 1JZ coils are the same which should help if you're looking for second-hand ones.

you can also buy the new coil plug housings as they usually crumple.

Elmhurst Toyota in the US are apparently the cheapest.
US $68 iirc Per Pack + shipping
Oldmac Toyota (Springwood QLD) sells the 1JZ coil packs for $170 ea. I'm pretty sure they get all their import parts from Castlehill Toyota (Sydney). At this price even with packaging & shipping your still saving a fortune.

We purchased them from our local toyota dealer and never wrote down the number, and now they claim you can't buy anything like that and they haven't ever sold us anything like thatOriginally Posted by brett_celicacoupe

hello
Yeah thanks for that i will tell him bout toyota but dont think he will be happy lol. cos the toyota parts in townsville are F*%King rip off.
Slight bump, does anybody know if you can buy the pins that go in these plugs from Toyota?
I ordered an igniter plug and a few coil connector plugs a few weeks back but they said I can't buy the pins for them, so I went and asked an autoelectrician who said he doesn't know where to get them from either.
