Incidentally, the RB-26 takes 134NM!

you HAVE to use loctite though on the 1jz as the holes go through the crank and oil WILL seep out through the bolts.

Interesting, the Toyota manual i took a squiz at says 74Nm.... I wonder if its an ORC thing? Certainly ARP give different ratings for their bolts.Originally Posted by Draven

I believe 74Nm was for the R154/7MGTE comboOriginally Posted by takai
My notes indicate the R154/1JZ-GTE & 2JZ-GTE/V160 as being 48Nm+90 degrees which is what Exedy recommend for their Clutches on the 1JZ-GTE/2JZ-GTE as well.
GSE20 IS250 - daily
UZZ30 Soarer - 1UZ-FE/R154/Adaptronic - trackday roughie
UZZ32 Soarer - Active Hydropneumatic Suspension (A-SUS) & Active Four Wheel Steering (A-4WS) - cruiser
But 48Nm+90 would mean that the bolts are torque to yield as per the head bolts. The ARP bolts certainly arnt TTY.

There's a mix of quotes between OEM and ARP bolts throughout the thread, so yeah, care needs to be taken when referencing what - 74Nm and 48Nm + 90 degrees is from the service manuals for OEM bolts.
