    Bah bugger paying that much for it!

    EPC at a quick look showed 1G to be the same as 1GGTE...

    IS200's are rare over here, anything related to them seems to cost a fortune! Good idea tho.

    Fair play... they are quite cheap and thousands of them here... I wasn't sure what it was like in Aus... in comparison there are hardly any 1G-GTE cars at all, and no one knows much about them in the UK (Although I try to pickup what I can here and there ... mainly here lol)

    Good luck in your hunt Kyle! I'm sure if anyone can source a 1G bit.... its you!

    I might just bump this up than!

    I never needed it at the time, so i gave kyle mine in exchange + some bearings for the trouble. Im waiting to receive them, but need something alot quicker than i think he can supply.
    But now im in desperate need of a replacement, preferably fully weighted! If you have or know someone who has, please PM me...


    I have however, a set of Gen 2 rods. Can these be used with a semi weighted Crank? Or a Gen 2 Crank?
    The motor is / was a Gen 3...

    Jase,

    If your using the Gen 2 Rods you need to use the earlier Crank (Gen 1 / 2) as they have the smaller bearings. If your using the Gen 3 rods then you can use the Gen 3 crank. You only use the Gen 3 crank with Gen 2 rods when the crank is being offset Ground to add stroke. The last few Gen 2 cranks I have seen have all had the keyways flogged out.

    I still have a bottom end at work I can check if its a gen 2 Crank you need.

    Well i need to re-assemble my motor. I have gen 3 rods in the car and would prefer a fully conterweighted crank, but am unable to find one, and dunno if i can get the bearings from kyle yet...

    If i cant get bearings and cant find the fully weighted crank, than ill take the head back off, use the gen2 rods and get some new rings. As kyle has already lined me up the gen2 bearings...
    But than i need to find the appropriate gen2 crank... So if you have one Rod, that would be great! Infact, the block you got from me was a gen2... Its the motor these gen2 rods and pistons came out of... If you have that lying around and its still usable, that would be really good..!

    Jase,

    The crank in that block was fucked and the block has been being used as a welding jig by both Linden and JMR.

    I have a Gen 2 Long motor at work I can check out for you tho. I'll let you know PM me your mobile number so I can give you a call once I've checked the Keyway.
