If I can find a torch and I remember, I'll try find out off of my GA70
You able to PM me a price on what you paid for your GA70 car...
ahhhh yep.....that could be right its manual.....i should have added that......
gen 2 and 3 have a diferent harnes, diference only being the injector plugs and throttle body plugs,....ie just swap over the gen3 gear to the gen2....
blake
in that case they must both be gen 3 engines....
From memory :
1) socket with the thick blue and white wires both with black stripe is for the small fan on the radiator
2) the red pair is to control the water flow into the heater/small copper radiator inside the dash
3) those 2 highlighted in purple & green are for the auto gearbox
4) the 2 pin socket highlighted in blue on the absorber : can't recall ( others please help )
For fuel pump, you could just tap a key-on supply without going thru the relays.
Make sure the all sockets are plugged in, where the engine loom enters thru the firewall into your dash and joins up with the in car wires.
the blue 2 pin socket goes to side of the manual trans......and if thats the case with all thos plugs then it should run...but no spark and fuel pump not kicking in either.....
fuel pump deff works as ive hooked power str8 2 it......
ill check those ecu plugs are all in snugly.....
thank u all 4 ur help.....
ill keep u's posted on how it goes....
Cheers

edit: it has to be something i've done or have forgotten to do as the engine i pulled out was turn key start....so im clearly 2 blame.....hahahah.....

fuks me.......still no change....must be something to do with ignition.....gonna check pulse at coilpack and hopefully sus out some info on fault codes for it.......worst of all i know it has to be something simple as it all used to work before......no fuel and no spark seems a lil 2 convienient....and i cant hear any relays clicking on / off in engine bay......
any ideas ppl???????
RARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR............
i just want my ma70 back from painters....lol....and offload this thing......hopefully i can get it goin by thursday b4 i head back 2 work........

As seen in your photo, your in-car wiring loom is an auto and now putting in a manual?
If so, there are 2 thick wires where your in dash wires ( near cooling coil ) are meeting up with the ones coming in from the engine loom that you need to bridge. That's the power supply that goes out to the auto and then back inside in order to make sure the car starts only at P or N I think.
there are pages and pages of wiring diagrams on the forum and they have the shapes of the plugs and what they do in them
cant remember where but i remember searching for them and they were easy enough to find
to wire up and engine to start and run, you need to touch the only two places on the car where the engine wiring loom, and body loom meet.
this will be at the fusebox, and inside the car, behind the glove box (NOT to be confused with the ECU plugs, there are 3-4 plugs further down from the ecu plugs, the ones im talking about)
without the glovebox wires done, the car wont start, run, or crank, as these plugs, or, rather one in particular (impossible to miss, its a big square bastard) give power to the starter motor and power to the injectors (because the ECU fires them by grounding their other pin, not giving power) wires in here also tell the ECU "hey, the engines ready to go".
on the fusebox side of things, you'll need 6-7 wires, 3 being the alternator (not neccesary to start the car though) and 3-4 being the power for the ignitor (6 pin plug, usually missing 2-3 wires.
let us know what you HAVE done first, so we know what you need to do.
Elmo.

sillycars....yeh i have downloaded all the wiring diagrams and also have all the pics of the plugs.......mine all mate up......you all have helped me sus that 1 out.....
altho..it still has no fuel pump engaging which really isnt majour.......but what i am concerned about is why my coil pack isnt pulsing / firing.....like i said i think its a ignition problem....more than likely my stuff up somewhere.....
im sure ive fukd this thread up majour.....maybe ill just delete it and start another....as im not sure how to edit all the posts.....to make it more relevant to what the problem is atm...lol......
RARRRRRRRR.....tearing hair out...
like i said.....Any help is much appreciated.......hopefully mods can sort thread out or ill just delete....
cheers all
Damien.......
Check the EFI fuse.
That'll take out the fuel pump and the ecu lamp also on the dash (As it takes the ECU out of action)
When you turn to "On" does the dash have the ECU light up?
