You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to triptek again.
Thanks for that info. I know for a fact that my nsw isnt wired correctly because im sure it cranks in any gear. I'll have to undo what the wiring guy did and start it from scratch.

I'm assuming its auto? - it might be worth checking the wiring from the selector shaft (side of the box) im assuming it shifts ok though?

    SL666: Yeah it shifts ok.

Triptek: Its a JZX90 Auto into an MX83 Cressida.
It was originally stalling everytime id shift from a driven gear back to neatral or park so I hunted down the 2 wires i'm pretty sure are the NSW. One has 9V in p&n and 0V in gear. The other also has 9V in P & N and 11.3 V in gear. I connected the 2 together and it stopped stalling when picking gears but it definately still cranks in any gear so its not right. My info says to connect these 2 wires to a the 85 and 86 pins of a 30A relay then connect split the starter wire and connect to 87 and 30. I cannot get this to work. Have tried numerous configurations of this with no success either. Yet if i undo the realy and connect back up how I had it, then it goes back to working but in limp mode im suspecting.

The pic below is the jzx90 ecu pinouts. On the left hand side you can see the NSW and STA pins. These wires run through the jzx90 engine loom. They come out on the same plug as the injector power/starter motor wires do behind the glove box. Pretty sure it's a grey plug. Do a continuity test to make sure there the right ones. Now on the pic below of the mx83 connecter you'll see the NSW pin, find that wire on the mx83 connecter and wire that to the NSW wire in the jzx90 loom.

Now connect the STA wire in the jzx90 loom to the ign/trigger pin on a relay (can't remember what the exact pin number is). Then hook the ground on the relay to the body. Your best off running a wire from the battery for the power in on the relay. Then connect the power out to the starter motor wire.

I hope this makes sence to ya, just ask if ya get stuck.

Just to rehash an old thread.

I've been having this problem for a while now; Limp-Mode 3.5krpm stutter and rough idle when cold.

Only thing different from this setup in my old car to now is the GT-R fuel pump i'm running. Does anyone know if straight running a Nissan pump has any issues? I heard something about the voltage being different to Toyota's and it requiring some sort of amp/booster or something.. idk...
