Be interested to know if the steering box was retained, just for future reference. 30 series have a metric truckload of engine bay real estate.
I went to Autosalon Newcastle yesterday, and Nova have knocked together a cressida in 3 days lol
This thing has a bog stock 1UZ V8, Garrett GT47R turbo with I think an internal 60mm gate. The smoke you can see on the dyno is the fresh heat wrap cooking from the heat.
The thing had never hit the dyno before this, and it still knocked out around 300rwkw running just off wastegate spring

Just a few quick pics I took at the day for any interested:
Sounded dick-hard on the dyno! As much as I hate these guys for the dodgy stuff they did on my car, it's still good to see them do something very different with a Cressida. And especially building the whole thing in only 3 days.

That is very cool. Don't know why all the 1uz soarer go's complain about a turbo upgrade being hard to setup![]()
Personally, would have went with a 42 for a 4L but yeah 47 should do alright![]()
dam hope no birds fly into that :\

That is pretty darn awesome, and knocked together that quick for a nice unreliable 300rwkw is a good effort![]()
i think its a getto POS but thats me haha
KE38 - 2TG
MS65 - 1UZ

The scary thing is the work they do on customer cars is no better![]()
Check out the timing belt and water pump debacle in my members ride thread or PM me for more details.
Maybe if they decompress the motor and run more than 10psi (or whatever wastegate spring is on that turbo), it'll put out some decent numbers. Or make a nice bang![]()
