well 4age, is a weel doco'd conversion. fairly straight forward, and most importantly its toyota ( jk).

the ford may well fit, but how much modding to get it there is another matter. and how much that would cost....

    my 2 cents.

P.s the 1.6 4 cyl is probably better suited to your car/needs as well.

if it's for the rolla and for a burnout, off-road car, then do whatever you want.

if it is for the road.. be sensible

Um, have you ever SEEN a Ford six? It's about the same size as your whole car!

    Handling is so overrated anyway.

Doooo iiiitttt... You may have to sit in the back seat with the engine still in your lap. but it would be a sweet sound.

it might physically fit in the bay, with the fan at the bumper....

you could stick radiator in boot with thermofan tho.. that could work

the engine probably weighs a significant percentage of whole car tho.... so will need stronger springs (i wonder if you could do endo's when braking? )

I looked at dropping one into my w123 merc, but as i didnt have room in that(needed minimum 2" more lengthways), Id say your pushing shit up a hill with a thin stick.
and a w123 will take a 2j with no major issues.

If you are going to change what is in it now, a 4age 16v or 20v atmo will be fun. if turbo on a budget the you look at 3sgte or the cheap as chips ca18det.

My mate is going to throw one of these barra 6cyl's into his TC cortina, heaps of bang for the buck and probably lighter than the useless boat anchor 250 it has now... But in a ke-corolla i dont think so.. i wouldnt do it.

I'd keep it 'yota.. 4age or 4ag(t)e is my bet!

remember that these engines (BA and BF ) have VCT on both cams and will need a computer that can handle that.
500 for a BA motor sounds cheap to me though.

I would not even contemplate putting one into a KE corolla
