Default MGCCQ Super Sprint - 22nd Sept

Anyone competing in the next round of the Interclub Challenge?

It is the Sprint stage of the MGCCQ Ironman

Combination of standing and flying laps on the clubman circuit at QR should be fun!

It's an all day event on 22nd Sept $100 entry, also on the same time is the motorkhana stage $20 entry

if you want to do the whole ironman, its a touring assembly friday night, sprint & motorkhana saturday and hillclimb on sunday

I will be there running my WRX.
It has been about 4 months since i drove it last as i have been doing a big rebuild inc. 2.2L stroker, Front mount, Autronic ecu and an STI 6 speed.
Cant wait to get it out and stretch the legs on the old girl and see how it goes

Picked car up this arvo after tune 226.7 kws at all 4 wheels.
The thing comes on boost at 4500 rpm and pulls like a freight train to 7400.
Not bad for a car that has only got 1k kms on it since being built.

what a let down split a CV boot sometime in the first run of 3 laps....so i decided id better drive it home rather than risk having the joint fail big time and pay for a tow home

    oh wells.....next time ay

Thats a shame mate i thought you disappeared quickly.
I ended up doing ok with a best of a 62.42. Not too bad considering that the new rear diff i have put in turns out to be an open wheeler not a LSD as it was supposed to be. It was a bit frustrating to have so much wheel spin through the turn 3, 4 and 5 complex.
On a brighter note it was damn quick down the front straight etc. as i was running with Phil Hart in his 911 GT3 and entered the front straight about 3-4 car lengths behind him and at the bottom of the straight i was hard up his rear till we hit turns 3,4,5. Oh well next time.

    yeah, always a next time

im trying to get quotes on CV's now...just give a CV for nothing you pricks!

i think the CV was spraying all over the road under the wheel as the rear end was all over the place in the right hand turns (was the front right CV).......although i had a little more pressure in the rear than usual too

anyway, its sitting at home waiting for me to get off my ass now.

how did you end up going results wise? i ended up getting 2nd in class (0-1600cc road reg)...not bad considering i only did 1 run....and spun in turn 6 on 2nd lap due to CV grease being all over everything

had the fastest standing lap in the class by over 2 secs
