Aust hillclimb titles (now with pics on page 2)

The Aust titles are being held next weekend at Mt Cotton. This should be a huge event with 120 competitors entered over a multitude of classes. there will be some very quick cars competing with the outright record probabaly set to fall again.

I am running my wrx and i think the biggest competition in my class will come in the form of the Awesome 260Z of Kevin Mackerell.
This weapon is powered by a 6L chev and is extremely quick.
At a recent round of the Vic hillclimb series it ran 2nd outright just a mere 2.5 odd seconds behind the Gould open wheeler of Andrew Howell who at the Qld titles earlier this year and ran a time of 37.47.
This will be 1 of the many awesome cars to see in action over the course of the weekend.

Wow check out that entry list! There's some awesome stuff in there. I'll be there on Saturday too. First time I've had a look at the track which is extremely sad coz I've lived only 15 minutes away for the last 7 years!

Paul the racing starts at 830 am Sat and Sun.
Should be an action packed weekend.

Peter Gumley was the fastest car at the QLD Hillclimb Championship was run there earlier this year, he reset his club record down at Huntley in September as well, the car is making 100hp more than it was at last years championship - I reckon he's the man to beat this year.

Yeah but Peter has run here plenty of times and knows that it aint over till its over.
I think there are a number of cars that will be on the money this weekend especially Andrew Howell as at the Qld titles on his 1st drive at the circuit he was only .05 behind Gumley. And lets not forget Allan McConnellhe is always quick.
Myself i hope it pisses down with rain all weekend then we will have an upset with the results.

what times have you run in the past in the WRX?

Pb is 46.77 with 180kws atws.
Now have 230kws at all 4
So it should run in the low to mid 45 sec mark.
I just have to sort the rear traction issue i have and see how we go.
