Ms supports almost any ignition system, have a read of the witzls ignition system thread in the FAQ section, it will give you the run down on toyotas wiring colors etc for various engines, and how they work.

    http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=10002 THE WITZLS THREAD

1 quick search and the second thread down comes up with wiring diagrams for the 1ggte maybe not your model but im sure theres the other generations of 1g's on here somewhere..

    http://www.toymods.net/forums/showth...ght=1ggte+outs

Then 5 seconds of scrolling down comes up with the gen 3 1ggte wiring diagram and heres the url, i took the dumb out of it for you ...............ps, page 3 on the .pdf file has what your looking for

1G dizzi guts will be the same as most other post-VAST toyota dizzi. - 3 VR sensors with a common earth. Two trigger wheels - 24 & 2 teeth

have a good read of the threads (on msextra) covering toyota sensors as some folks have a shit time with toyota VR sensors, whereas others (like me) have had no issues at all.

I'm not far off doing the 1G+MSnS-E into my RA40 so if you're still struggling, i'll be more than willing to share.

btw: welcome to the world of megasaquirt!!

edit: get very familiar with the manual - http://megasquirt.sf.net/extra/ or http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/. It might be hard going, but once you're on top of the jargon and fundamentals, it's a lot easier to participate and diagnose.

I'll be running MSnS-E II with waste-spark and some other extras. If you're happy with a single-coil and dizzi then no need for the extra code unless you have plans for stuff like shift light, launch control, nitrous, etc.

the 1g can have 2 different setups in it.
it will be either 24 and 1 tooth or 24 and six teeth.
1ggte should have 24 and 6 as it uses a distributor to send spark and will only have 2 sensors inside as there is no tdc no1 (gen2 yellow plug iirc)
a 1ggze should have 24 and 1 with 3 sensors 1 as the 24tooth pickup, 1 for tdc (comp) cyl1 and the other for tdc (comp) cyl6 as it needs to know where the engine cycles are to fire correctly.

they may change on other series but this is from my experience.

    cheers

All the 1GGTE's and 1GGZE's I've seen have been electrically the same, 24-1-1 outputs. Same as Linden described for the 1GGZE.

Dont forget that your normal MS-1 does not control ignition timing, you'll need to upgrade firmware to the MSnS code (talk to chuckster above).

I am using the V3 PCB like you are, and have found the VR conditioning circuit on the V3.0 PCB to be quite reliable with a stock toyota VR sensor (22R-E sensor in 18R dissy, welded to fixed position)

You'll probably find your 1G-GTE dissy will be a similar setup to the 7M-GTE dissy listed in the autoshop101 article on toyota ignition systems.

P.S. Best of luck - megasquirting is fun.
