to put it in perspective, 25 micron is abotu the size of grit particles on 1000 grit wet&dry
what size do paper filters filter down to?
Hi,
Im in need of a new fuel system and have been looking into the cartridge type fuel filters with replacable filters inside the alloy casing, ive noticed theres 3 or 4 different filters, Which brings me to my question of which filter would be best for use with pulp or is it irrelevant as far as pulp goes, what are the different filter inserts for? fuel types, flow etc???
25 micron
74 micron, etc,

i know, isn't that a bit useless? might be ok for a carby, but having a 0.15mm chunk being freely able to pass through into your injectors doesn't seem like a good idea?? or is 0.15mm not that big? (seems big to me)
edit: i spose it depends how much crap you expect to go thru the fuel lines from the tank and pump.... if it is only large chunks of pain tor rust or whatever, then mayb e150um filter is fine![]()

if you expect a lot of dirt, then i guess it is good to have a washable? filter... or are the elements throwaway?

I have two on my tg efi setup one before the pump and one after the pump both are forty microns and I haven't had any issues to date, I had my tank cleaned and sealed before I went to efi and put them on though.HTH
