Nulon has a product, from memory called stop leak, meant to help rejuvinate old hard seals, seems to work to a degree but takes aboout 500 km to start to work ...just add it to the engine oil & drive .... i personally would not use the diff oil as has been mentioned, could end up creating a shit load of other dramas ...

i think it is leaking, n i think the dizzy O ring could be a prime suspect actully as that was the only place where the cop saw it lol. i dont think its burning any as i dont really c any smoke. is that how u no if it is burning oil??

about the diy option from IN 05 NT i wish i could but i dont hav the tools nor any idea about doin anythin to my motor myslef. i would like to learn but id be worryed id f**k somethin.

i might hav to giv the engine a wash down n try n find where its coming from so i dont get fudged over by the machenic.

can anyone advise me of a good reliable machenic around the sevo/blacktown area

if a car engine is burning oil, usually the tell-tale sign that it is is blue-ish smoke from the exhaust, but this isn't always the case. when my engine was chewing oil the hardest, I had a friend following along behind me at the time and he didn't notice any real strong signs of oil being burnt, but if it was then it was in minute traces and not copiously burning it, although the dipstick was the true teller of that tale.

just eliminate one source at a time - replace the dizzy O-ring and then go from there before you start thinking of increasing the viscosity of the oil.
