Default Ke55 front struts into ke11

hi, i'm currently fitting a ca 18 into a ke11. starting to think how i'm going to get this thing to pull up. any clues if the front struts from a ke55 would go into a ke11.
i will definitly need front discs to have any hope in stopping.
has it been done and what would need modifying.

    cheers heaps james

KE30/55 will nto go in easily.
    problems..
ball joint is different.. might be able to swap in KE20 one?
steering arm is longer, will feck up the already crap steering, and slow it down
steering arm on KE10 has 3 bolts, on KE55, has 2.

apart from that, if you get KE10 disk or KE20 disk hubs, you can use the disc, backing plate and caliper of a KE55 directly on the KE10 strut.

or KE70 if it has the same backing plate bolt pattern as the KE10/20/30/55 (like i did)

You may need something a bit bigger than the standard ke55 discs and calipers. However if your trying to fit another strut in there then do an upgrade fair enough.

If you can fit the ke55 strut maybe work on fitting the new researched upgrade by rob.

to fit the KE30/55 strut, you still need short steering arms, otherwise the drag link will hit on stuff.. like.. cross-member...

the KE10 steering arms are shorter than KE20 and the KE30/55 are longer again (by a few cm iirc)

the other option is to put in a KE20 front end with radius rods, instead of the A-arm KE10.. this is probably a better idea if you are planning to brake hard....

and then the R31 struts are not a bad option...

time to go checking the KE dedicated thread in General

the nissan struts would need the KE20 front end anyway.... the only main hassle is the radius rod supports... the chassis rails just need one hole and crushtube put in...
