    cheers damo

currently trying to find out actually what gear the M should have been run in , it has a close ratio box with 5th being 1:1 and a 3.20 diff . 151hp is 50 down from what the owners manual states so theres something fishy given that its also got a bit of fruit and it definately doesnt feel like 150hp in a 1400kg car...

Great day all, good to see everyone!

I hope to hear a noisey aftermarket pump in the back of that Leansupra by the time I see you next Matty. It's just not fair on that poor 1J.

Good work John, almost taking out most improved... And we told ya it wasn't going to pop

Well done Pete, Wayne and Mike.

Congratulations to Chris for being the first person I know to have managed LESS than 200 horsepower out of a 1JZ.

Wish I'd had something to run, but the Shame Mobile's already been dyno'd in it's current form, sans knock. And yes it makes more power than Chris's 1J

The look on peoples faces as I pulled into/out of that carpark was worth it though.

cheap shot, i deserved it but! eheheh

i dont get what the dealio is though, nothing was visible on the dip stick, but the oil cap had oil dripping off it when you took it off.

maybe its not draining back properly lol

Hey - I think I had the best external BOV!! Didn't you hear it pop an intercooler pipe on the last run at 18psi?
Thanks Damo - well organised again. Was good to catch up with everyone.
I was happy to see it makes the same hp even with all the sequential actuators/valves installed (and gets boost earlier!)
Now I've finally got something good to put in my sig!

Yeah cheers damo, great day as always!
Wayno your snagga's are yummo, remind me to make you the head chef next time i crank up the starlet bbq!!

Was pretty happy with my result, although i wish he woulda just revved it out for me to see wot it could make on 15psi. I guess i should prolly look at installing that walbro by now. Good ol PVC is still going strong too Looking forward to the next one already

Chris.......i'd start by throwing your entire exhaust system in the bin and putting an extra few inches (in diameter) up in there....maybe a high flow cat and decent muffler.

Eldar i was rnning a BOV but since installing those turbos and clutch its kinda hard to hear it vent over the sounds of twin gate, rattling clutch and silly amounts of reversion.
    I miss my BOV......

Pete....your mean....but i do like your install! what a weapon that thing must be!!

    Hrm bang for buck award...

Maybe next time we can sort out some certificates for some of the minor awards - Bang for Buck, Highest HP for a NON-Oldskooltoy(for people like Tristan etc who don't qualify for the main trophy, but are still welcome to bring their machines as an "exhibition piece"), and the "Cringe" award for the car Hyperdrive are most reluctant to run.. I reckon Eldar and Matty would have tied for the lead for that one

Love the smell of a good BBQ so dont mine cooking! Its about the only place I will cook but next time we need some spices, bbq sauce and beer!

Yeah I think some extra awards in the form of a certificated are a good idea! Damo let us know if you want me to work some magic again!!

hahahahah, its strange though, we've both got freak motors that are making very healthy power for the amount of mods done

Mikes got another one, but hes not at the bling garage, so he dont count

No shit. My 1J sounded sick as hell, would shit all over the plugs every now and then, but goddamn it made some good power, and there was plenty more in it. You just can't kill a 1JZ... well unless you're TJ.

Yeah, freak motors on the dyno, but then when you take it down the strip its just as fast (or slow) as the next 1J with the same mods... Moral of the story being, dont get too excited over a power figure shown on a computer screen.
