thats crap imho, its hardly measureable improvement if youre replacing an entire drivetrain with something out of a different car not even of the type which it was measured with before....

Why not, it's a lot of effort to change an engine and why shouldn't that go unrewarded.

seems like a fairly obvious loophole that can easily abused and take appreciation away from people that develop their setup between events

for example people such as stomps who have gone in the car from an n/a motor to a modified turbo motor making almost 3x the power.... (not having a go at you dude just using the car as an example) or hamgatan who has removed 1ggte and replaced with 1jzgte which firstly clearly is superiror and will make at least double the power

im interested if theres going to be an n/a 6cyl class ? might bring my new bunky

Yeah, but don't discount how much effort goes into an engine conversion, sure it may seem like the easy way, but it's still a pain in the ass, particularly if it was hamgatan's

sorry to disappoint Ads... but at the end of the day, its all for good fun. its not really much for a competition when we only have 20 odd cars on the rollers..

there is a Motorvation thread for this discussion.. but no, its not a typo..
too many people with unfinished rides for 2008 ... so we are gonna skip a year and hopefully have a big display for 2009

and now back to dyno discussions..
still need at least another 10 cars confirmed for this to go ahead - so please voice your interest NOW!!
