Fitted them, adjusted on dyno back to back, gains up top meant less down bottom and reverse so I took them off and sold them. I had NA cams fitted.
"others" have reported gains but never with dyno figures.

So u used 3s ones kedders I might just get them to make it look better
No I had remanufactured 1g ones, IE the were made adjustable.

factory 1g and 3s pulleys are the same, they're just put on back to front.
I expect it will depend on how the adjustable 3s ones are made, as to whether u can put them on backwards. Ie: centre mounting reversible like the factory ones, and bolts able to be put through from either side.
what Timbo said.
Kedderz, you did get a gain, you just lost bottom end in the process, at the end of the day thats what adjusting the cam timing will do, so they worked as intended![]()

On my 7m, retarding exhaust a bit had gains everywhere, but playing with inlet simply 'tilted' the curve, so that was left alone. My tuner suggested that this is often the case.
Kedderz, did you play with both or just one cam?

as mr love ke70 said I did get a gain the curve moved as expected, what I was expecting was what kyle had on his which was a 40rwhp increase across the board with the 1gge cams, that never happened so I put it back to stock and was happy with many horse powers.
I adjusted both exhaust and inlet cams back to back, they operated as you would expect on the dyno.

Were you running similar boost levels to Kyle?

I believe he did, which to me, on a boosted vehicle, you overcome alot of the poor flow characteristics until you are stretching the friendship of how much it will flow all up, ie higher boosts's, so that may explain the large overall gain...
I believe he also had fuck off huge cams in it...

Ok i took some measurements off both and can confirm that the factory gears are compatible between 3S and 1G engines, simply installed backwards as was said above. I have to make a set of 1g adjustable gears for a guy and plan on using the same inner section as my 3s gears so they will be able to be used on both engines depending which way they are assembled.
I had a look at some badly worn 3s hks gears i have here and they are not reversible due to how they are made. All the offsets would be wrong and there are no timing marks on the back of the outer section to match up with the ones on the front.

hey Andrew, I know ur already a gun at adjustable gears, but if you wanna see mine (which are a custom inner on factory outer) let me know.
Or you can copy the HKS ones, I have both the ones Timbo talks about and a set of 1G HKS ones if they would help at all
