the non-twinky ones have sealed struts as opposed to the twinky ones. It's an easy fix though just turn them around, and that way you can even bolt in a strut brace
I've got twinky shocks in my ae82 (used to be carby) and they work fine![]()
does anyone know what the differences between a set of springs from an ae82 twinky -v- a set from an ae80.
story is ive got a friend with an ae80 that has chopped springs and rides somewhat like a milk crate with square wheels. and ive lined up a set of ae82 springs will these firstly fit and rate wise will they be ok ?

I know that the twinkie ones are inserts, but are the springs compatible with the seal strut units?

I also have twinky springs (kings superlows)...not aware of any differences with them and haven't had problems.
