Anyway I had a steel plate W55 behind my 1JZ for the first number of months, then when I had to drop the box to play with the clutch I swapped in an alloy plate W58 (for the 5th gear ratio).
I've not broken it yet (and I've broken a diff in that time).

i was just checking this last night actually. i figured a w57 would be a better starting point for a 4agte circuit car.
