Default Does 1JZ have a coolant drain in the block?

Its a pain removing the thermostat housing each time to drain the coolant from the 1JZGTE block, is there a drain tap somewhere that i'm not seeing, as many other Toyota block's have?

    Cheers

Thermo housing is easy, Long extension + 12mm ( me thinks) and go from underneath

Forgot to mention, ONce nuts are removed, then go back up top and remove the thermo housing from above

Manny, i'd have to check, but that looks like the spot where my turbo oil feed comes from

I don't have a better pic handy so I just used that pic of a 2jz-ge for reference.
No oil feed visible on that 2jz-ge block but you can see to the lower right where the oil feed would be tapped on the turbo blocks.
So I guess just rearward and upward of your rear oil feed location is where the drain plug is.

Yes that's about where it is, near impossible to get to if you have the original twins and big dump pipes on though. Thermostat housing is the easier option.
