query: what does RZ use for his fuel pump/tank/surge setup? i know his chassis is different, but the power output level is similar?

rubber fuel tanks can be made to suit. so in short reduce the size of your current tank (by replacing with a rubber one) and install your surge tank along side to it...?

He's got a pair of 044's mounted under the floorpan and two braided hoses running the length of the car. Looks cool but expensive!

Nah haven't done anything with the bottom end, but the bores look good so hopefully the rest is in fairly good shape.

Good stuff, what sort of power you aiming for? 600hp at the motor or more?

I'll just be happy if it cuts a decent skid, and sounds really angry doing it. Anyway here's a few more photos of shiny stuff:

I do believe that is the shiniest thing you have ever owned Norbie You must be getting old

Looks the business, i don't think skidz will be an issue....your clutch on the other hand will have a short and spectacular life

Yeah I know, all this bling in my engine bay is a bit of a worry. Maybe I shouldn't have replaced the front main seal, a nice film of oil and grime would have covered up anything shiny.

I'm hoping the tyres go up in smoke before the clutch does (trailing-arm IRS remember) but time will tell.

There will be skids my friend, oh yes. But let's wait until the engine starts shall we?

Finally got a bit of work done on my car today.

First up, front of the engine is back together with non-munted harmonic balancer and timing cover. Also note the modified water neck which allows more sensible angles for the turbo coolant lines:

I've finally gathered all the required bits for the fuel system (I hope), including 2x external 255lph Walbro pumps, a surge tank shortened to fit in the engine bay, a fancy-pants Sard FPR, and a number of surprisingly expensive Speedflow fittings. Should look nice once it's all in, but that's a job for next weekend.

And then there's the wiring nest. So far I've hooked up the ignitor/coils, injectors, 3 bar MAP sensor, coolant temp sensor, crank sensor and TPS. There's a few more to go and then I can start joining wires to the Haltech connector plug, and hope it actually works.

As always there are more pics here.

Almost forgot, I tried (and so far failed) to fit my new 100mm intercooler. It needs to co-exist with the oil cooler, PS cooler and newly re-installed AC condensor. It's getting crowded in there!
