If you do need to smash the window. Maybe use some tough sticky tape like gaffer or package tape to keep the window in tact then smash away. Hopefully that will keep all the pieces some what together.*

But you probably have solved it by now.

*i have never tried this so i dont know how it will work out for you.

lol that will so not work.

On a side note Julz, if you do decide to break a window break your passenger one. I have a window here for a hatch ae92 (NOT SECA) which i got tinted if you need it.

A pity that doesn't work since most central-locking things are radio frequency, not audible, and thus the speaker/mic on the phone won't pick it up.

Update - Keys still in car. missus joined NRMA this morning but they wont do a free roadside call within 48 hours of joining. I made an enquiry at www.lostcarkeys.com.au and awaiting a reply. To complicate matters I'm flying to Coffs Harbour tomorrow morning and not coming back till Wednesday so I need to resolve this today without damaging the car. Otherwise the car will be a sitting duck for another 5 days in the safe, pleasant, crime-free haven of Auburn NSW.

Are the doors same as ae92 sedan ?
If so their easy to unlock with coat hanger on side and but nudge up the lock

call a locksmith. ask them if they have experience with car doors.

failing that, pull the horizontal bit of the rubber between door and window out and look down. there is a plate directly above the lock, but... you don7t want to touch that.. you want to pull the link that lifts the locking indicator thingy..

just look inside and you will see it (maybe from angle)

    and then delete thread

but locksmith would have been faster... or wait until a local unlocks it for you

compared to cost of theft/vandalism repair:
    ring towie
    shift car to home
    locate keys
    ??
    profit (plus mass online shaming)

    otherwise
    packing tape+rock*glass=access
