    how do i no wat error it is ?
    What is autosalon? Sounds kinda homo.

    we got started with 3 blips in a row then, blip blip pause, blip blip pause, blip blip pause, and that continued

    is this error two ? AFM ?



    1 = Normal (No codes recorded)
    2 = AFM signal (Open in VC, VS, VB, or E2 or short in EC)
    3 = Ignition signal (no signal from igniter 4 times in a row)
    4 = water temp sensor (fault in coolant temp. sensor circuit)
    5 = O2 sensor (open in O2 sensor - lean signal only)
    6 = RPM signal (No Ne, G signal within several seconds after start)
    7 = TPS (circuit fault in TPS signal)
    8 = Intake air temp sensor (fault in intake air temp sensor circuit)
    9 = (There is no 9)
    10 = Starter signal (no STA signal before engine reaches 800 RPM)
    11 = Switch signal (AC switch on, TPS idle switch off, or AT shift in D during check)

    (You will get a 10 code if vehicle is push started.)

    To check codes: (throttle closed, transmission in neutral, all accessories off, engine at normal operating temperature)
    Turn ignition ON - do not start;
    Short T - E1 on service connector;
    read codes as indicated by check engine light flashing.
    Normal code is 1 flash every 5 seconds.
    Fault codes will read in ascending order, - code - 2.5 second pause - code - 2.5 second pause - code, etc. until all codes are read. They will repeat as long as T - E1 are shorted.

    Note: a medium sized paper clip makes a good shorting tool for the diagnostic connector.

    maybe see if you can borrow one to double check
    but yeah looks that way.
    but first id check the plug and wires just in case.
    i have heard of them failing, but havnt heard anything about what actually fails.

    give it to the witzl to pull apart

    id swap it ova..
    cept im in coffs harbour ( 8 hours from syd) , and im the only 20valve in town
    does anyone know if a 16V afm is the same ?
    or what would swap ?

    mmmmmmmm thats interesting ^

    ok well at the moment, i found the wiring from the AFM to be all dodgey
    cut at places and just taped together dodgey,
    so today i took all the witing out and resoldered it backtogether,
    i also found a wire coming from the AFM that ran no where ? i think its earth, it simply does not go anywhere, i dont have an 02 sensor could this wire possibly be an 02 sensor wire ?
    i just took it for a hard spin before, got it to temp, it was fine cool, then it seemed alot better, the hesitating only came about when i was backing of and slow down.. and not that bad really
    no where near as bad as it was,
    ill take it for a good drive tomorrow and see how it goes.

    car is fixed,
    the TPS was out of calibration and was causing a surge at 1500 RPM
