is the solenoid compatable with the IBC? the solenoid might have poor resolution and not be very compatable with the IBC.
just a thought
I bought one of these things and im not that happy with it. Am I doing anything wrong? I set my duty cycle and then took my car for a run in 2nd/3rd full throttle as the instructions say. Then I watch to check for the max PSI reached and im happy.
So the IBC says my max boost achieved is 15psi. However when im giving it a boot the boost doesnt seem to be stable. Im aiming for 15psi but the boost seems to always be under and sort of hunts below the original peak achieved. Is this normal? I was hoping the idea of an electronic boost controller was that you set your boost and the turbos will always reach this boost level very accurately, not hunt around for a figure.![]()

hello
the solenoid came with the IBC so it should be compatible

fair enough.... try changing the thicknesses of the hoses? putting a restriction in the line?
the IBC is probably over correcting itself and getting into a crazy cycle, missing the target everytime
hello
So what you're saying is it spikes to 15psi then dies from there? My Gizzmo used to do something like that which is why I got rid of it. The gain setting isn't adjustable, and on mine it'd oscillate after hitting the initial spike. It couldn't deal with the way my baby CT12's came on boost.

Anyone got tips on how to set these up. I want to rule out the possibility that im not setting it up correctly. On paper it has the features I want so I dont want to upgrade when I dont really need to.
This is what I have been doing.
1. Set duty cycle and let screen go back to main menu 00.0
2. take car for drive and check the duty cycle hits desired boost
Is that all? I have read something about when setting duty cycle it will display peak boost while flashing? then to lock that boost in, you press the upper button again?? When I set my duty cycle, the screen doesnt seem to flash at all to show peak boost, it just goes back to the main menu.

The only way to alter the gain according to the Gizzmo guys is to bump up the gate pressure. Set it as high as possible without a massif spike. I will see if I can dig up my e-mails from them

Now you're stretching the memoryumm I just followed the directions. make sure you're in a high gear. make sure your wastegate lines are as short and small as possible.

Also, make sure your wastegate vacuum lines are of equal length.
