I have a 3TGTE O2 sensor in the shed. The pressure susnors are located in the donor car by the brake booster from memory, each sensor has a vacuum line to the base, and a single wire to the top, and are all housed on the one fitting plate.
Folks
Yes another 3TGT alphabet thread. Couple of questions
1. Does anyone know what the pressure switches look like for the stock ECU? Theres a couple referenced in the diagrams on Smons' pages but wondering what they look like?
2. Where can I get a O2 sensor for the 3T? Would a 4A one work for example?
More to come no doubt...

oh goody
i wonder if the thing will run without them?
be interested in that o2 sensor mate. pm me
The stock 3T GTE has 3 pressure switches/sensors. One for fuel cut, one for fuel enrichment and one for the knock control.
If you earth the wire that normally goes to the sensor then the engine will run without them. I would recommend doing this to the fuel cut regardless as cutting fuel at high boost isn't gonna do your engine any good under boost.
The fuel enrichment activates at 2.2psi so earthing the wire means the engine runs slightly rich all the time. It supplies around 5 % more fuel, so not a big deal IMO.
The O2 sensor is the same as used on some holdens. I actually got an identical sensor from a mid 80's holden, just can't remember the model car. Go to a wreckers and you will find one no problem.

Simon
simon, thanks for this. i'll earth them out
as your TA22 is pretty original do you have these sensors ; and ; if so can I bother you for a pic of what they look like?
5% richer is no big deal......can live with that solongas its not fouling plugs continually
with the o2 sensor do you have a pic so i can match it up. mid 80's holden with EFI = VK.
I don't have the stock ECU anymore, now running a microtech.
However here is a pic of what the sensors look like
I didn't get the O2 sensor from a commodore, its was a smaller holden, something like a Barina, Apollo etc. Maybe it was late 80's or early 90's model. Its a 2 bolt single wire sensor. I needed one ages ago and like you looked for the genuine Toyota sensor. While looking I stumbled on the holden sensor at a wrecker and found it was identical.

Simon
Possibly something out of a camira?

Daily - Prado 90series
Work - T908 620hp Cummins ISX
Shed - 1975 TA22 2TG
